California Attorney General Rob Bonta has announced his lawsuit against the Trump administration for deploying the National Guard in Los Angeles to contain the riots over the immigration raids that broke out this past weekend.

In announcing the lawsuit, Attorney General Rob Bonta called the president's move to federalize the National Guard an "infringement" on state sovereignty.

President Donald Trump said on Monday he would support the arrest of California's Gavin Newsom, in a dramatic escalation of a growing conflict with the Democratic governor about immigration protests that roiled Los Angeles during the weekend.
