The runner who died during the Brooklyn Half Marathon on Saturday was revealed to be a former college football player.

Former Texas A&M safety Brian Williams died on Sunday, according to The Dallas Morning News. He was 24 years old. Williams died from a severe heat stroke after running a half marathon in Irving, Texas on Saturday, his brother Rawleigh Williams told the newspaper.
