The Browns' rookie minicamp got started on Friday, giving the club its first opportunity to see the 2025 draftees on the field — including fifth-round pick Shedeur Sanders.

The Cleveland Browns opened rookie minicamp on Friday with all eyes on Shedeur Sanders. After falling to the fifth round in the 2025 NFL Draft, the former Colorado quarterback will have the opportunity to prove himself over the coming months.

Cleveland Browns general manager Andrew Berry has made it clear that every player will work to earn their spot on the 53-man roster, including Shedeur Sanders. Berry said that Sanders’ goal for the season should be to make the team and carve out a role,

The Nick Chubb era in Cleveland appears to be over. The Browns signaled that when they selected two running backs in the 2025 draft and recently renegotiated Jerome Ford’s deal. But now General Manager Andrew Berry has also explicitly stated that Chubb’s return to the club doesn’t appear to be in the cards.

After also re-signing Jerome Ford, they now have a very crowded running back room. And that makes it unlikely that a familiar face will return to the fold. General manager Andrew Berry admitted on Tuesday that Nick Chubb will probably not be back with the team.
