Iga Swiatek and Alexandra Eala faced off on Thursday afternoon at the 2025 Madrid Open with the former coming from a set and a break down to seal the win.

Defending Madrid champion Świątek recovered from a nervy opening set to beat Eala, who won their first meeting in Miami in a stunning upset.

After a quarterfinal loss to the rising star from the Philippines last month in Miami, Iga Swiatek rallied to a 4-6, 6-4, 6-2 victory over Alexandra Eala in the second round of the Madrid Open.
