More than 180 current and former employees of the Federal Emergency Management Agency published a letter Monday warning that debilitating cuts to the agency.

By Tim Reid WASHINGTON (Reuters) -Nearly three dozen staff at the U.S. agency that responds to natural disasters warned Congress in a letter on Monday that the inexperience of the Trump administration's top appointees could lead to a catastrophe on the level of Hurricane Katrina.

About 180 FEMA employees, many of them anonymous, signed a letter to Congress arguing that the agency’s leadership has hindered its ability to effectively manage emergencies.
