New York Giants quarterback Russell Wilson couldn’t hide his pride as his wife, Grammy-winning singer Ciara, made history by becoming the first person to receive Beninese citizenship under a groundbreaking new law in West Africa.

"He's been texting me 24/7, calling me," Jalin Hyatt said of Russell Wilson. "We've been working [together] 24/7 and I didn't really have that from the quarterback. Just proud that he's here."

Russell Wilson made his position clear after being named the starting quarterback for the New York Giants, amid the position battle with Jaxson Dart and Jameis Winston heading into the 2025 NFL season.
