Starting in late April, all digital games you own or buy will become Virtual Game Cards. These will be stored in a new menu screen on your Switch or Switch 2. Nintendo says any registered user on the console can play that digital game.

Switch players who buy their games on physical cards are used to being able to share those games with other players simply by handing them the card. Now, Nintendo is planning a process to allow players to share their digital Switch purchases in a similar way.

Digital games are becoming Virtual Game Cards on Nintendo Switch consoles. Nintendo has announced a new feature coming to both the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 called Virtual Game Cards that will let users to treat their digital games more like physical ones, including lending them out to family members.
