THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) — A week after a gas explosion killed one and injured at least 15 others at a Bronx apartment building, residents are blaming management for “neglect,” saying their previous reports of smelling gas went unanswered.
A man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly stealing the stove out of an apartment in the Bronx. He reportedly left the gas on, causing a fiery explosion that killed one person and injured more than a dozen others.
The inspector did not make a bad judgment call,” the lawsuit says. “He ignored the rules that exist to keep people alive.”
