(Reuters) -Healthcare conglomerate CVS Health has bid for stores and patient data in the U.S. Pacific Northwest from bankrupt pharmacy chain operator Rite Aid, according to two people familiar with the matter on Thursday.

What isn't clear is whether the Bartell name that has been such a presence in the Seattle area will survive, with several experts warning that the ubiquitous brand could disappear.

Rite Aid has confirmed CVS will take over the operations of many of the Rite Aid and Bartell Drugs locations closing in Washington.
