This week's Nintendo Switch 2 Direct news gave fans a first look at what's to come on the new console from Nintendo, including revamped editions of Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom for the Switch 2 – and some changes might just confirm the ship of the century.

Recent reports indicate that the Zelda games available on the Nintendo Switch 2 will have achievements, but there's a catch gamers should be aware of.

Nintendo unveiled the release date for the upcoming live action adaptation of its classic video game series "The Legend of Zelda" on Friday.

Audiences know very little about the upcoming Legend of Zelda film. The announcements so far have been light on story details, but if the live-action franchise wants to draw in a larger crowd of non-gamers, it should steer away from the franchise's complex timeline.

As part of the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct, Nintendo announced that they will bring Switch titles to Switch 2 with enhanced versions. The first of these will be perhaps the platform’s biggest games, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, which will both feature enhanced visuals and some new features.

Nintendo reportedly is going all-in on its eventual Legend of Zelda live-action adaptation, and it wants to go a trilogy before the first one is even made.

Nintendo clarified in an overview that items that only exist in Tears of the Kingdom will be converted to other items when transferred to Breath of the Wild. Zelda Notes will also allow users to view their play data and exchange Autobuild blueprints via QR codes.
