Before this season, Indiana signed six-time All-Star forward DeWanna Bonner to a 1-year deal. However, after a lack of fit with the team and limited minutes, she was waived in late June and signed later with the Phoenix Mercury.

Sophie Cunningham played for the Mercury from 2019-24, before she was traded to the Fever. She has become one of Caitlin Clark's toughest enforcers.
