This week’s BMW Championship at Caves Valley Country Club outside of Baltimore will only have a field of 49 players. That’s after the PGA Tour announced Monday that Sepp Straka has withdrawn from the second leg of the FedEx Cup Playoffs.

Along with his two wins, Straka secured top-10 finishes in some of the PGA Tour's biggest events, including the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, the Arnold Palmer Invitational, the Memorial Tournament and most recently the Scottish Open.

Sepp Straka is fifth in the FedEx Cup Playoffs standings. He's also currently six in the Ryder Cup European team rankings.
