Planned Parenthood will close its two clinics in Louisiana on Sept. 30 as the organization faces funding challenges under President Trump’s tax and spending package. With its federal funding threatened in Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill, Planned Parenthood will cease Louisiana operations after 40 years.

"This is not a decision we wanted to make," said Melaney Linton, the president and CEO of Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast, adding that "political warfare" on the nonprofit by its opponents forced the closures.
