Max Verstappen and George Russell made a bold comparison between Lewis Hamilton and the Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri crash at the Canadian Grand Prix.

Australia’s Oscar Piastri survived unscathed from his first high-speed collision with Lando Norris to finish fourth in Monday morning’s Canadian Grand Prix and extend his lead in the Formula One world championship after his McLaren teammate admitted he badly messed up.

Initially, McLaren refrained from imposing team orders, and Piastri was allowed to keep hold of his first race win in Hungary later in the year. However, the Australian was eventually relegated to a support role, with the promise of equal footing when the slate was wiped clean after Abu Dhabi.

Oscar Piastri led from start to finish to win the Spanish Grand Prix on Sunday and extend his lead at the top of the drivers’ world championship.
