A New Jersey grand jury on Tuesday indicted Democratic Rep. LaMonica McIver of New Jersey on three charges of assaulting federal law enforcement officers during a clash last month outside of a Newark ICE detention center,

Rep. LaMonica McIver indicted for allegedly obstructing federal agents during a Newark ICE facility clash; her team calls it political retaliation.

The indictment charges McIver with "forcibly impeding and interfering with federal law enforcement officers," New Jersey U.S. Attorney Alina Habba said.
