Large hail will be possible as severe thunderstorms move through the Kansas City area, according to the Natioanl Weather Service’s Storm Predicition Center. The weather service said there is a potential for hail the size baseballs, or even larger, for several hours after sunset.

A warm, humid air mass is setting the stage for two rounds of strong to severe thunderstorms Monday evening into early Tuesday morning across northwest Missouri and northeast Kansas.

Forecasters are warning that damaging winds, large hail, and even tornadoes could hammer the upper Midwest on Monday.
