The Gabriel House assisted living facility where a fire killed nine and injured 30 on July 13, has been a fixture in Fall River since the late 1990s. The property at 261 Oliver St. was home to 70 residents, according to the Fall River Fire Department. As of 10:45 a.m., the cause of the fire was still unknown.
