The four-time Pro Bowl receiver broke a sweat before practice even started after carrying his puppy onto the field and setting him down on the ground. Within a second, the puppy took off and started sprinting away from Diggs, who could be seen chasing the dog around by the practice field entrance.

Stefon Diggs is the biggest-name addition to the New England Patriots this offseason. On Wednesday, he got to experience the Puppy Adoption Day event held at Pats training camp. And during Diggs' time with his little dog, he nearly had an escape on his hands.

Maye had a strong first day of training camp, completing 8-of-9 passes. He connected with Diggs twice to lead off the first two full-team periods against the Patriots’ top defensive unit.
