The Atlanta Braves made their final move with right-handed pitcher Ian Anderson on Thursday but saw the New York Yankees claim one of their outfielders.

The Yankees claimed outfielder Bryan De La Cruz off waivers from the Braves, optioned him to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and transferred DH/outfielder Giancarlo Stanton to the 60-day injured list on Thursday.

The Yankees added Bryan de la Cruz, who hit 19 home runs in 2023 and 21 in 2024. Stanton has not yet begun a rehab assignment.

After a horrid start to the 2025 season, the Atlanta Braves have seriously picked themselves back up over the last few weeks. The Braves are 7-3 in their last 10 games, going from last to third place in the NL East with a 14-16 record.
