The tech mogul’s decision to revamp the editorial pages around his own views threatens not only independent journalism, but the Post’s business future.

The billionaire owner of The Washington Post, Jeff Bezos, narrowed the topics covered by its opinion section Wednesday to defending personal liberties and the free market, a pivot away from its traditional broad focus and prompting the news outlet’s opinion editor to resign.

The storied paper's op-ed page will now serve to promote Bezos' vision of "personal liberties and free markets" in America. With those under assault by the Trump administration, there will be a lot to talk about.
