Shares in Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba fell Monday in Hong Kong as a deal to provide AI technology to iPhones sold in China faced a backlash in the U.S.

Shares of Alibaba Group Holding (NYSE:BABA) fell on Monday after The New York Times reported that the Trump administration has raised concerns over the Chinese technology firm's potential deal with Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL).

Alibaba (BABA -0.43%) stock has had a good start to 2025, but it was giving back some of its gains after its fiscal fourth-quarter earnings report disappointed investors. The stoc
