The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy issued southeast Michigan's sixth air quality advisory of the season on Saturday due to elevated levels of fine particulate matter in the air from Canadian wildfires.
Unhealthy air quality is forecast, with periods of Very Unhealthy air quality possible for several hours. Folks should expect to see and smell smoke, and Air Quality Alerts are in effect. Conditions will improve slightly tonight through Sunday.
