The resolution urges the US government to use “all available diplomatic tools” to release hostages, end the blockade of food and aid to Palestinians, and resolve the conflict in Gaza.

"Singapore calls for the immediate full resumption of humanitarian aid for the Palestinian civilians in Gaza and an immediate humanitarian ceasefire. All remaining hostages held by Hamas should be released immediately," said a Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) spokesman.

Qatar, a key mediator for the war in Gaza, criticized Israel’s latest offensive against Hamas, saying it would prolong the conflict and worsen the humanitarian situation for Palestinians.

Israel launched an extensive ground operation in Gaza Sunday in addition to an intense air campaign that health officials in the territory say killed over 100 people overnight and shuttered the last functioning hospital in the enclave’s north.

The Israeli military said the new offensive would include dividing up the enclave and pushing the population out of areas in which it operates.
