Hoda Kotb returns to 'Today' and winds up sharing one reason she decided to retire from the show in January: 4-year-old daughter Hope has Type 1 diabetes.

Kotb chatted with former co-hosts Savannah Guthrie and Craig Melvin on Wednesday morning, four months after her exit from the show.

Hoda Kotb will visit the fourth hour of Today on Wednesday to serve as a guest co-host, this time to announce a new venture focused on wellness, the show announced. Kotb departed Today in January, having been teamed with Savannah Guthrie in the first two hours since 2018.
